Amendment Request Process
- Submit your amendment request to our office in writing via one of the following ways:
- Send an email detailing your request with a subject line of “Amendment Request” to info@moultonlaw.com
- Notate your desired changes on the summary documents included in your annual Client Care Program renewal packet and return them to us via mail using the included Business Reply envelope.
- Write/type and print your desired changes in a letter and mail or deliver it to our main office at 1220 Mullan Road, Spokane Valley, WA 99206.
- **COMING IN 2025** Complete the online Amendment Request form on the Moulton Law Offices, P.S. website.
- Once your request is received and processed, you will receive an automated email notifying you that you’ve been added to the amendment queue.
- You will continue to receive automated emails notifying you as your amendment request moves through the various phases of the process.
- If our team has questions about your request or requires any additional information, they will reach out to you via phone and/or email when they begin work on your amendment.
- It is important to note that delays in responding to communications from our office will inhibit our ability to proceed with your request and increase turnaround time.
- If we are unable to reach you after multiple communication attempts, we reserve the right to hold or cancel your request.
- Once your amendment is ready for you to sign, our office will contact you to schedule a signing appointment.
- If you do not live close to one of our offices, you can request to have the documents mailed to you. If you select this option, your amendment documents will be sent to you via standard mail. You will be responsible for having the documents signed with a notary.
- If you select the mailing option, please send COPIES of the signature pages to our office so we have complete records and can update your Client Care Program digital storage lockbox. You can either mail copies to our office, or scan the signature pages and email them to info@moultonlaw.com.
- Once signed and notarized, your amendment is complete. The completed documents should be added to your Estate Planning Portfolio (binder).
Amendments are processed in the order in which they were received. Timelines for completion vary throughout the year depending on request volume, but are usually between 4-6 weeks. We typically receive the highest volume of amendment requests between December-February, with turnaround times in excess of 10 weeks during those months.
For those who need an amendment processed immediately, we offer a RUSH option for an additional $500. RUSH requests are processed within 5 business days.

Client Care Program members
Clients enrolled in the Client Care Program (CCP) are entitled to one (1) complimentary discretionary amendment per year of active membership. Additional amendments requested during the same 12-month membership period will incur an additional fee.
